A second Missouri teenager has been charged for his alleged role in the sexual exploitation of a minor. The charge, a Class B felony, stems from a video made on a cell phone at a party earlier this month.

According to records filed in court in Nodaway County, Missouri, the 17-year-old suspect allegedly recorded a video of a 17-year-old male having sex with a 14-year-old girl. The other teenager lived at the house where the alleged incident took place, and he is charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl. Because the alleged victims in the case are minors and were not named, it’s not clear if the girls in each instance are actually the same person.

Police say the girl who was allegedly assaulted had been drinking alcohol and did not remember the sexual encounter. She was allegedly left outside her home in sub-freezing temperatures and did not come inside the building for two hours. She did not suffer serious injuries, authorities said.

The teenager who allegedly recorded the incident faces penalties of up to five to 15 years in prison, while the teenager accused of sexual assault could face a prison sentence of two to seven years.

Cases like this are complicated. There may be several different witnesses all with varying accounts of the events of the evening. The alleged victim cannot remember the actual assault. The charges against the two boys, however, are very serious and in order to present a strong defense, they may be well served by receiving advice from an attorney experienced in sex crimes defense.
