A second Missouri teenager has been charged for his alleged role in the sexual exploitation of a minor. The charge, a Class B felony, stems from a video made on a cell phone at a party earlier this month.
A Missouri man has lost his Section 8 housing voucher because of a sexual assault conviction nearly 30 years ago. The man, now 50 years old, was convicted in 1983 when he lived in a different state. After serving time in prison, he moved to St. Joseph, Missouri, and applied for Section 8 housing assistance, which is provided through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The third of six defendants in an alleged sex trafficking case in Missouri has pleaded guilty. A 33-year-old man from Kirkwood, Missouri, entered his plea last month in U.S. District Court. Authorities say a woman was used as a sex slave for years at a mobile home near Lebanon, Missouri, where the residents allegedly held her and posted videos and other images of the woman online. Authorities say the male homeowner also let other men come to the trailer to torture the woman and force her to perform sex acts.
A man who was released from prison in 2010 after serving 11 years on a rape conviction has been arrested again on sexual assault charges. Allegedly the man abducted two women from near a truck stop in Joplin, Missouri, and took them across state lines to Oklahoma. They say he eventually dropped them off at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, where he was arrested in the parking lot a short time later.
